Precious Products was established in Bangkok in 1989 as Precious Products Ltd, Part. And we have now been working to supply our 100 plus active customers in about 40 countries around the world for over 30 years.
Our production capacity is around 70,000 pieces / month or 840,000 pieces / year. Before establishing the business in Thailand we had our jewelry business in Sweden (est. 1981) where we were both retailing and whole selling to jewelry more than 200 shops all around the country. Our concepts and designs of jewelry and jewelry making have therefore its roots in the Scandinavian tradition and we believe that this is one of the reasons behind our continued success in the world marketplace. The Scandinavian jewelry makes and design tradition stands for three things in particular. The first is the tradition of Viking/Celtic traditional or inspired designs and the second is the Scandinavian simplicity where a few lines of the design will complete a simple, yet an innovative piece of jewelry. Finally, the Scandinavian tradition stands for precious jewelry made of a high-quality standard. Normally our customers will appreciate that even if the price tag sometimes comes slightly higher.
In September 2019 we moved into our new and very modern factory in Khok Krabue district of Samut Sakorn with 4,800 square meters of usable space on four floors on 5,200 square meters of land. This factory is about 10 km from our old factory in Nongkhaem, Bangkok which is still in our possession. Presently (June 2020) we are down to about 300 employees due to slower business worldwide and lately the Corona crises but in fact, our new factory has a capacity for about 800 employees. Moreover, our old factory also has a capacity of about 350 employees and this together will probably be enough capacity for the foreseeable future.
